Recipe for Ginger Snaps

Type:   Dessert
Ingredients:   3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger
Procedure:   Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and eggs. Beat well. Add remaining ingredients. Roll into small balss and dip into additional sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Bake 375 for 10-12 minutes.
Yields:   3-4 dozen
