Recipe for Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

Type:   Dessert
Ingredients:   2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. (2 1/2 sticks) butter/margarine, soft
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 2/3 c. (1 10 oz. package) peanut butter chips
Procedure:   Heat oven to 350º.
Stir together dry ingredients (flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt).
In a large bowl, beat sugar and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Gradually add flour mixture, beating well.
Stir in peanut butter chips.
Drop rounded spoonfulls onto cookie sheet; bake 8-9 minutes.
(Do not overbake; cookies will be soft)
Yields:   approx. 4 dozen
