Recipe for Easy Oven Stew


2 pounds boneless beef chuck or round,
1/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons liquid oil
4 small onions, peeled and quartered
4 small carrots, pared and cut into pieces
4 small potatoes, pared and cut into pieces
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup water
2 (8 ounce) cans Hunt's Tomato Sauce

Combine flour, salt, pepper, and paprika in paper bag. Drop beef pieces in and shake to coat. Mix with oil in casserole. Bake uncovered at 400 for 30 minutes.
Add vegetables, water, and tomato sauce. Mix well.
Cover and bake at 350 for about 1 3/4 hours.

(I usually add lots more of everything and cook it longer.)
